Sometimes. It depends on how the task is structured. There are two ways that we pay product reimbursement:
1. It's a set reimbursement included in the bounty. You will often see this structure in our free food tasks, like those from Tim Hortons or Mcdonalds. You will be paid a set price, which includes a reimbursement for your food and payment for your time. The instructions will be worded something like this: "$1.50 of the bounty for this task is to reimburse you for the purchase of the donut." In this structure regardless of what you pay for the item (ie: it's on sale or you have a coupon) you will be paid the rate stated in the task instructions. In this example you would see the product reimbursement included in your year-to-date earnings amount, because we paid one set bounty.
2. The reimbursement is variable and will be based on the price that you pay. This structure will have a set bounty for your time, and then you will be reimbursed the cost for the product that you bought based on the receipt that you'll be asked to submit. An example of a task that uses this structure is our free bread jobs. The instructions will be worded something like this: "You will be FULLY REIMBURSED for the price of the item plus a $3.00 BOUNTY." In this structure you will be reimbursed the exact price that you paid, which will be added when your task is approved by our quality control team. In this example only the bounty you were paid, not the product reimbursement would be included in your year-to-date earnings because it was broken out and paid separately.
Either way, the payment structure will be laid out in the instructions presented to you prior to reserving the task.
If you check your Manage Cash Out Options page (In the app: Earnings > Manage > Scroll down) you will see your amount earned this year (highlighted in yellow below) and your expense reimbursement this year (highlighted in green below)
